This historic home, originally referred to as Rosemount, was built circa 1830 and is a part of the National Historic Society. It sits on 41+ acres of country side, four miles west of the Patuxent River. Rosemount, once a plantation, is an example of an early nineteenth century I-house plan farmhouse with particularly fine interior trim in the transitional Federal/Greek Revival style. It has remained in the possession of only four families from the period of its construction to the present. The property was sold to the Wallace Family in December 2018, and is now referred to as Hennessy Creek.
